Outstanding Warrants in Gregg County
“Active” and “outstanding” mean whatever the court or portal using them decides. One city system shows an arrest-warrant marker, a PDF may show an unpaid balance, and the Sheriff page describes service work without listing a single name. Those are three different kinds of warrant records. For any Gregg County matter, find the issuing court first. A city citation belongs to that municipal court, a JP matter to its precinct, and felony and county-court cases each have their own clerk. The county publishes no countywide count of active warrants and no statement that any list is complete.
Gregg County Active Warrant Lists Have Different Forms
Warrant lists in Gregg County take several forms. Longview runs a query-based municipal portal, Kilgore publishes static outstanding-warrant and nonresident PDFs, and Gladewater’s court page posts a dated image. The Sheriff’s Warrant Division site offers no public search at all. A city result only covers that city, not every court in the county. The Longview official forms page links the search and notes the limited scope of its results.

The live interface returns a city-specific query, not a downloadable county roster.
| Source | Format | What to Confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Longview | Municipal query; red marker for outstanding arrest warrants | Current status and city-only scope |
| Kilgore | Dated AW/CP PDFs | List period and whether court has updated it |
| Gladewater | Image labeled as of Jan. 27, 2025 | Current status with Municipal Court |
| Sheriff | Operational warrant-unit page | Routing or execution, not list completeness |
The Gregg County Active Warrant List Is Not Centralized
Gregg County spreads its warrant records across six municipal courts, four JP precincts, two county courts at law, and three district courts. A municipal clerk has no control over a JP case. The Sheriff’s Office may execute process from several courts, but that does not make it the record office for each one. Freshness varies just as much. Longview publishes no refresh schedule for its list, Kilgore’s PDF title carries a period ending March 12, 2026, and Gladewater’s image is dated January 27, 2025. Keep those dates attached to whatever you cite rather than calling any of them a current list. When you need your own status, ask the clerk named on the case instead of treating these sources as one feed.
Active Warrants: What They Show
What a Gregg County list shows depends on the system behind it. Some reveal a balance or a process type, while others offer only a colored marker or a bare case result. A list can lag behind events, since payment may have posted, a recall may have been entered, or the record may have moved to another status after the list was made. Note the source and its date beside every field you rely on.
| Source date | Record the PDF period, image label, or date you viewed a live query. |
|---|---|
| Type | Kilgore’s schema uses AW and CP; ask the court what applies to a case. |
| Balance | A posted sum can change and may not include every cost or vendor fee. |
| Case / citation | Use it with the issuing clerk to locate the court file. |
| Recall | Ask whether the court entered a recall and when other systems update. |
Gregg County Warrant Roundups Are Local Programs
Roundup and amnesty programs in Gregg County are local, court-by-court offerings. Longview’s Amnesty Docket runs the first Monday evening of each month, with 5:00–6:00 p.m. check-in at 302 W. Cotton Street, and its page describes a Warrant Free Zone for that municipal session. None of it covers Gregg County JP or district process. Kilgore announced a March 14–April 15, 2026 amnesty window that has since closed, so check the Municipal Court page for a new notice before counting on an old date. The Sheriff runs no countywide roundup. Longview’s current Amnesty Docket information controls the dates and local terms. An amnesty notice is court access, not a list of people and not countywide clearance.
Finding Your Own Name on the List
Finding your own name on a Gregg County list is jarring. Keep the official source and jot down its date. Avoid sharing anything public with names, birth dates, plates, or citation numbers. Instead, call the issuing court, ask what exact process it shows, and request the current status plus your options for resolving it.
Confirm before acting: A city portal, dated PDF, balance, or empty search cannot establish the status of every Gregg County court or agency entry.
In Longview, ask whether payment in full, a payment plan, an indigent hearing, Safe Haven, or the Amnesty Docket applies to your case. In Kilgore, ask what AW or CP means in the file and how long payment credit takes. Either way, only the court controls a recall.
Gregg County Sheriff Warrant Page Describes Service
The Gregg County Sheriff Warrant Division page covers extradition, arrests, and fugitive returns rather than any public name search. The county directory lists 903-236-8400 as the general sheriff number and 903-236-1755 for jail-related calls. A custody question and a court-status question go to different places.

Gregg County Warrant Status Labels Need Court Context
Status labels in Gregg County need court context. One system’s “open” can mean a case is still on its docket, while another uses “outstanding” for a warrant marker. Kilgore’s type field and Longview’s red display each mean what their own court says. A change on one page does not mean the case vanished from every system.
- Active
- A source’s current unresolved label; verify the date and issuing court.
- AW
- Kilgore list shorthand for an arrest warrant.
- CP
- Kilgore list shorthand for capias pro fine.
- Recall
- A court action withdrawing a process from enforcement.
A payment vendor can show a transaction before the clerk or law-enforcement system catches up. Ask the Gregg County court when it posts credit and how it confirms a recall.
Gregg County Warrant Lists Have Access Limits
A static city list can be incomplete by date or by case type. Juvenile, family, sealed, and active-investigation material carries separate limits of its own. The Texas Public Information Act opens public records to you but includes exceptions, so a broad request for a personal roster may be reviewed or redacted. For a narrow records request, name the agency, the record type, the date range, and the delivery format. Gregg County routes requests through the County Judge’s office. For your own current case, skip all of that and go to the issuing court. To tell a curated tip program from an active court list, see Gregg County’s Crime Stoppers and most-wanted information.
Gregg County Warrant Lists Are Pointers
Public pages can point you to the right clerk. They cannot replace the clerk's answer. Gregg County has no single unified warrant list. Longview runs a dynamic query, Kilgore posts dated PDFs, and Gladewater keeps an older image. The Sheriff's page serves its own operational needs. Whatever list you find, hold three things together: the issuing court, the format, and the date. If a page or program changes, check the city or county's current official source, then ask whether the process is still active and what action updates it.
